AC Milan travel to Sassuolo for their second consecutive match played away from San Siro. A large number of Rossoneri players will miss Sassuolo vs Milan because of injuries. Ante Rebic is the last player added to Ibrahimovic, Gabbia, Kjaer and Bennacer.
Nevertheless, Milan need to return to winning ways after dropping points against Parma and Genoa. Considering the many absences, coach Stefano Pioli will make a couple of changes for Sassuolo vs Milan.
Pierre Kalulu will make his second first minute start in Serie A after debuting with a goal against Genoa. The young French defender will form the central duo alongside captain Alessio Romagnoli. Theo Hernandez returns on the left with Davide Calabria on the right. As always, Gigio Donnarumma in goal.
The injury of Ismael Bennacer leaves Pioli no room for choices. Sandro Tonali will form the midfield dam with Franck Kessie. Jens Peter Hauge was supposed to star on the left but at the very last moment Pioli has opted for Diaz with Hakan Calhanoglu in the attacking midfielder role. Alexis Saelemaekers and Samu Castillejo are fighting for the remaining spot on the right with the Belgium winger in advantage.
Ante Rebic was the designated replacement of Ibrahimovic in attack. The injury of the Croatian winger will force Pioli to rely on Rafael Leao. The Portuguese has rarely exceled in this position but Pioli has no choices. Maldini, Colombo and Roback are the other strikers available for Sassuolo vs Milan reports Gazzetta.
